Impressive Marine — Installation Warranty & Liability Disclaimer

Before Installation (Pre-Install Disclaimer)

Impressive Marine is not responsible for any manufacturer defects, missing components, or functional issues present prior to installation.

All products are backed by the manufacturer’s warranty only.

Before installation begins, the customer acknowledges:

  • Equipment purchased elsewhere may not be compatible with their vessel or existing systems.
  • Impressive Marine cannot guarantee the performance, longevity, or functionality of equipment not purchased through us.
  • Used, previously installed, or open-box items may fail or underperform and are installed as-is, without warranty through Impressive Marine.
  • Any pre-existing electrical issues, corrosion, wiring faults, or vessel deficiencies may affect installation time and/or equipment performance.

If equipment is determined to be defective before installation, the customer is responsible for initiating the manufacturer’s warranty claim.

During Installation (Workmanship Disclaimer)

Impressive Marine guarantees workmanship on all installations we perform.

This warranty applies only to the physical installation and not to:

  • Manufacturer defects
  • Software or firmware bugs
  • Connectivity or network conflicts caused by third-party hardware
  • Failures due to customer alterations, misuse, or environmental exposure

The workmanship warranty does not cover any system that is modified, rewired, or serviced by anyone other than Impressive Marine.

After Installation (Post-Install Disclaimer)

Once installation is complete:

  • Impressive Marine is not responsible for equipment failure, software issues, updates, or manufacturer defects.
  • Warranty claims must be made directly with the manufacturer.
  • Customer acknowledges that boats operate in harsh marine environments, and equipment may require updates, recalibration, or future maintenance.
  • Damage caused by battery failure, corrosion, lightning, grounding issues, moisture intrusion, or improper use is not covered.

Impressive Marine may assist with troubleshooting manufacturer-related issues, but fees may apply.

Equipment Provided by the Customer

If the customer supplies their own electronics:

  • The equipment is installed as-is, without guarantee of performance.
  • Impressive Marine does not warranty customer-supplied equipment under any circumstances.
  • Additional labor time may be required if the equipment is outdated, incompatible, incomplete, or requires firmware updates.

System Performance Disclaimer

Impressive Marine installs equipment to manufacturer specifications and ABYC/NMEA standards.

However, the overall performance of the system may be affected by:

  • Vessel design or age
  • Pre-existing wiring
  • Power supply or battery condition
  • Networked devices from mixed manufacturers
  • Customer modifications after installation

Impressive Marine cannot guarantee performance outside the scope of manufacturer specifications.

Liability Limitation

Impressive Marine shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of navigation data
  • Fishfinder or sonar accuracy
  • Chart data discrepancies
  • GPS signal loss
  • Fishing results
  • Vessel damage caused by conditions outside our control
  • Any consequential or incidental damages

Our responsibility is limited strictly to the quality of our installation work.

Customer Acknowledgment

By proceeding with installation, the customer agrees to:

  • All terms above
  • Follow manufacturer care and maintenance guidelines
  • Use equipment according to intended marine standards
  • Contact Impressive Marine immediately if issues arise after installation
